How do I start?

Call me at (831) 234-5813 for screening and assessment.  Together we will decide if this is a good fit and whether you want to make an appointment.

Does what we talk about in therapy remain confidential?

What we discuss in therapy is confidential. This helps to build an atmosphere of trust and safety.  It is also required by law.  Sometimes, however, you may want me to share information or give an update to someone on your wellness team I can only do this with your written permission.

State law and professional ethics require therapists to maintain confidentiality except for the following situations:

* Suspected past or present abuse or neglect of children, adults, and elders to the authorities, including Child Protection and law enforcement, based on information provided by the client or collateral sources.

* If the therapist has reason to suspect the client is seriously in danger of harming him/herself or has threated to harm another person.

What are your fees?

I charge $90 - $150 for a 50-minute session.  Training costs vary.

What if I can't afford that?

Reduced fee services are available on a limited basis. Please inquire.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Cash, check and money orders are accepted for payment.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified me at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.

Do you accept insurance?

I accept Victim Witness.

Some insurance  plans will reimburse for my services, so you may want to check with yours to see if they will cover individual/couples psychotherapy with an LCSW of your choice.  I request payment at each session, but I am happy to prepare a statement for you to submit to your insurance company.

I look forward to working with you!
